Me, You, and Everyone We know

Miranda July is as cute as her ideas. However, it will NEVER be cute to have a child of no more than 6 years old, acting or not, having conversations about pooping back and forth forever with a some partner he has found online. Yes, yes. I get it, how clever of her to show us how innocent a child can be, how cute it is that he probably doesn’t really understand sex and yet his imagination has led him to create something so kinky. And, yes, how strange it is that the boy and the woman he has been talking to can sit on the bench together as though they share a true connection. And, yes, Miranda, I see your point about the whole kids/chat rooms/perverts and you commented on it in a very clever way, but c’mon. Clever can be many things, but tasteless it is not. I don’t know. Call me old fashion, but I didn’t appreciate that oh so hilarious line coming from such a young child.  But, the Me and You Shoes – brilliant.
